Directions

Flakey Pie Crust

1Stir together flour, sugar, salt.  Cut in shortening with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse sand or small pebbles.

2Stir in egg, water and vinegar and then mix by hand until dough comes together.

3Separate into two equal parts. Place into separate storage bags or wrap individually in cellophane.

4Flatten into round disks to make it easier to stack and roll out.

5Refrigerate at least 1-2 hours or overnight. Dough is very delicate.

6Roll out to the perfect thickness and shape by using Dough EZ

7Tip; Place Dough EZ in the refrigerator or freezer for a few hours prior to rolling out dough. Once ready to use, unravel on counter top.

FIlling

1Combine all ingredients.

2Pour into prepared pastry shell.

Bake

1Bake in a preheated at 350°F for 40-50 minutes.

Ingredients

Flakey Pie Crust

3 cups AP flour

1 T sugar

1/2 tsp. salt

1 1/2 cup crisco shortening

1 egg

5 T cold water

1 tsp. white vinegar

Filling

2 cups diced ham

2-3 slices of cooked bacon crumbled

1/2 cup chopped onions browned

1 1/2 cups of shredded cheese, blend or your choice

(Swiss, Fontina, Gouda,Gruyere, Cheddar)

1/4 cup parmesan cheese

5 eggs

1 cup heavy cream
